Why Choose An Independent Agent
Some people think it doesn't really matter where they buy their health insurance. But this could be costing them money, service, and protection. Buying insurance isn't like buying a commodity. Insurance is an important safety net and can prevent major financial problems like financial insecurity or loss of major assets. Don't treat the purchase lightly!
There's a difference where you buy your protection. Many people don't realize there are three sources for insurance:
- Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers -- represent many insurance companies and research these firms to find you the best combination of price, coverage, and service.
- Captive Agents -- sell you the insurance of only one company.
- Telephone Representatives -- offer you the insurance of one or more companies but are usually not licensed to sell insurance. They must refer you to a licensed broker to complete the sale.
As Independent Insurance Agents/Brokers, we:
- Are licensed professionals;
- Provide excellent service and competitive prices because we can access insurance coverage from many companies;
- Aren't limited to any one company. You don't need to change agents as your insurance and service needs change;
- Represent only carriers that are both financially stable and provide efficient claims service;
- Assist you when you have a claim;
- Are your consultants, working with you as you determine your needs;
- Offer you a choice of insurance plans and programs;
- Determine the best combination of price, coverage, and service. We find the best carrier offering the best value for your premium dollar;
- Offer one-stop shopping for a full range of health insurance products;
- Periodically review your policy with you to make sure your coverage is keeping up with your changing insurance needs; AND.
- Treat you like a person and not as a number.
Senior Plans By Phone agents explain coverages and limitations and believe in educating you, the health care consumer. We have a strong commitment to customer service and want to earn your business by fully informing you and answering your questions, being available every day of the week from 7 AM to 11 PM Eastern time, and serving you to your complete satisfaction.
There's no charge for using our services. We receive compensation by the insurance company and you do not pay us for our services. Insurance companies charge you the same price wherever you buy your policy. Eligibility is based upon the facts you provide in your application and, unless you qualify for a Medicare Advantage plan (except for end-stage renal disease), Part D Prescription Drug Plan, or open enrollment or guaranteed issue (for a Medicare Supplement Plan), price and eligibility can be affected by your health status based on the underwriter's review of the carrier's underwriting guidelines.
